Race Finish Time Calculator
Pick a distance, enter the pace you plan to hold, and we calculate your projected finish time. Flip it around to plan the exact pace a goal time demands.
Planning a goal time
Most race goals are a time: break 25 minutes for 5K, go sub-4 for the marathon. To hit a time you need to know the pace it requires and then rehearse that pace until it feels automatic. This calculator turns a goal time into the per-km and per-mile pace you must average.
Print the number on your hand or set it as a screen on your watch. On race day, the job is simply to hold it — no faster in the first mile, no slower in the last.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is a finish time from goal pace?
It is exact arithmetic: pace multiplied by distance. The uncertainty is entirely in whether you can hold the pace — terrain, heat, hills and fatigue all bite. Build in a small buffer for anything but a flat, cool course.
